We are looking for a Hydrogeologist to join our environmental and geological sciences team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for studying the distribution, movement, and quality of water in the Earth’s crust. This role involves conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and developing models to understand groundwater flow and contamination. Hydrogeologists play a critical role in managing water resources, assessing environmental impacts, and supporting sustainable development projects.
As a Hydrogeologist, you will work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory agencies to provide expert advice on groundwater issues. You will be expected to design and implement hydrogeological studies, interpret geologic and hydrologic data, and prepare technical reports. Your work will support projects such as groundwater remediation, water supply development, environmental assessments, and land use planning.
Key tasks include collecting soil and water samples, conducting aquifer tests, using GIS and modeling software, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will also be involved in stakeholder communication, presenting findings to clients, and contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both field and office environments. A solid understanding of geology, hydrology, and environmental science is essential. Experience with groundwater modeling tools such as MODFLOW, and familiarity with environmental legislation, will be highly valued.
We offer a dynamic work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on water resource management and environmental protection.
